Collaborative Process

The process starts when the parties retain collaborative attorneys and a neutral settlement facilitator and neutral financial expert, which becomes the team. The team signs a participation agreement and has team meetings to explore options and interests and work toward resolution. Once an agreement is reached, a simple petition is filed to obtain a final judgment.

Streamlined Process

KWIC divorce – Know What It Costs! Some cases may qualify for our streamlined process. This process is based on complexity of case, not sliding scale of fees for income. The first step is to take a survey called the Separation & Divorce Readiness Indicator. The link to the survey can be found here: https://www.sdri.ca/. Once the results are provided to your attorney, a determination can be made if your case qualifies and what the fee should be for the full team approach. This process gives partis a sense of certainty as to the fees and costs associated with their case.
